KPKP Agency Enlivens Agrofood Expo 2024 at JCC

The Jakarta Food Security, Maritime and Agricultural Agency (KPKP), participated in enlivening the Agrofood Expo 2024 agribusiness exhibition in Hall A, Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) Senayan, Jakarta which took place from June 13 to 15, 2024.

Jakarta KPKP Agency Head, Suharini Eliawati said the Agrofood Expo 2024 exhibition is an important moment to popularize the implementation and development of urban farming in Jakarta, as well as promoting urban agricultural products.

At this booth, services were also opened for visitors who wanted to consult about urban farming and other services opened by the Jakarta KPKP Agency.

"It is important to participate in enlivening this national and international scale event. We want to show that the Jakarta Provincial Government is truly concerned about urban agricultural development. The concept we are bringing is how, with limited land, agriculture can still be carried out to provide food for the family," she expressed, Friday (6/14).

She went on to say that her agency regularly participates in the Agrofood Expo from year to year. The theme is also different every year. Hopefully, her participation would provide benefits for community independence in carrying out urban farming activities, thus food security in the community, and the greening of residential areas can be realized.

"We once talked about the Rawabelong Flower Market because at that time it was a very good moment for marketing cut flowers. We are now heading towards a global city that will no longer be the capital, agricultural cultivation on limited land is important for the wider community to know," she stated.
